About Infrared Thermography

Example of Infrared ThermographyInfrared Thermography is the technique for producing an image of invisible (to our eyes) infrared light emitted by objects due to their thermal condition. More sophisticated infrared cameras, like we use, can actually measure temperatures of any object or surface in the image and product color images that make interpretation of thermal patterns easier. An image produced by an infrared camera is called a thermogram or a thermograph.

Infrared Thermal Imaging is an advanced non-destructive technology that allows us to show you things about your home that no one can show you with conventional inspection methods.

Infrared Thermography inspections may identify the following:

  • Water and moisture intrusion that could lead to mold or physical damage
  • Hidden roof leaks
  • Dangerous flue leaks
  • Unknown plumbing leaks
  • Electrical faults
  • Broken seals in double pane windows
  • And may other uses
